RESIDING IN HIS HOMETOWN OF YORK, pa…

Rev. David Kin

David Kin is an ordained Interfaith Minister, Urban Shaman, Spiritual Seeker, Father, Natural Builder, Artist, Activist, Business Owner, Hang gliding pilot, Snow-boarder and Scuba diver.

Graduating from the University of Delaware under a “Pre-Vet” / “Pre-Med” curriculum, David initially worked as a biologist in the Pharmaceutical industry.

After several years, He left this industry to become a partner in his family’s business (Military & Commercial Fastener’s Corp. - ‘MCF’). Initially starting in sales, he has since held the positions of “Purchasing Manager” and “IT Manager”. After twenty-five years of dedicated service and employment, David sold his ownership interest in MCF.

David’s interest in meditation, philosophy and mysticism began to intensify in the early 90’s, largely under the influence of A Course in Miracles and the teachings of Mr. Tara Singh.  For many years, he was a part of seminars and workshops around the country, not only with Mr. Singh, but also with such recognized teachers as:  Pema Chodron, Deepak Chopra, Alan Cohen, Wayne Dyer, Gangaji, Stanislov Groff, Jean Housten, Jerry Jampolsky, Sam Keen, Terrance McKenna, Caroline Myss, Christine Price, Tony Robinns, Eckhart Tolle and Ken Wapnick.

During the summer of 1999, David began the construction of his first sustainable home, named “La Casa de Da-vid”. Acting as “General Contractor” and designer, his home was built using such ecological and sustainable materials as earth, straw and bamboo.  After a rigorous seven year building process, David and his family first moved into their new home.

In 2005, David entered the New Seminary in New York City where he studied and was eventually ordained as an “Interfaith Minister” in 2007. Then in 2009, he became interested in Shamanism and the work of Dr. Alberto Villoldo. Thus, he enrolled in the formal training program of The Four Winds Institute. As part of his training, David spent one month conducting a field work intensive in Peru. After several years with this program, David became a “Full Medicine (Mesa) Carrier”.

Today, David Kin lives with his youngest son, Lakota, and has the vision of developing “La Casa de Da-vid” into a fully functioning Retreat Center and Inter-Faith Temple. He also  works with clients in the areas of Shamanic Healing and Spiritual Counseling. La Casa de Da-Vid has since been recognized by fellow artists, film makers, and event planners.
